Notice to Importers and General Public- GRA
The Customs Division of GRA has released a notice notifying importers and the general public of the need for samples taken by Custom Officers to be appropriately labeled under the seals of the appropriate authorities to that effect.
The statement reads” The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority wishes to announce to Agents, Importers and the general public that samples taken by Customs officers must be covered by sample labels from either the Chemist, Chief Revenue Officer Outdoor or Terminal heads and a copy given to the importer or his agents.
“Customs Examination Officers are forbidden from taking samples except with sample lables from the above mentioned officers. “
